My wife read/listened to the book called “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing” by Marie Kondo. While I haven’t read it I do recommend the Japanese style of cleaning up your shit. It is without compromise or mercy towards things you might have “just” an emotional attachment. Last weekend my wife and I pulled off a massive clean up operation based on the principles (our version of them anyway) of this book. And let me tell you – cleaning up felt really good. I threw away a bunch of my clothes, books, and various clutter items. Suddenly my closet has not this good in a long time. So if you feel the need to declutter your space, read the book and give it a go.
